Medicare Part C
Medicare Advantage Plans are sometimes called Medicare Part C or MA Plans and are offered by insurance companies that are approved by Medicare.
Medicare Advantage Plans must cover all of the services that Original Medicare covers.
Along with your Medicare Part B premium many Medicare Advantage plans also require a monthly premium although the newer benchmark plans for 2023 have $0 plan premium.
Medicare Advantage Plans may offer extra coverage such as Vision, Hearing, Dental and Wellness. Most Medicare Advantage plans include Prescription Drug coverage.
Not all Medicare Advantage plans work the same way. Most plans require copayments and the doctors and hospitals are part of a Provider Network. Some plans require getting a referral to see a Specialist.
